THE RAMBLE HOTEL
Although this time of year is our slow season, we are still fortunate to photograph a few winter weddings and we had the privilege of capturing Emily and Shelby’s downtown Denver wedding in at The Ramble Hotel. They decided to pull together two wedding celebrations, even though they are still planning their original NYE wedding later this year, as it was important to them to tie the knot sooner because Emily’s dad is not in great health.
Emily and Shelby prepared for the day at The Ramble Hotel, boutique hotel that exudes elegance and sophistication. Located in the trendy River North (RiNo) neighborhood, the hotel offers a unique blend of vintage and modern design elements, creating a stylish and comfortable atmosphere.
The hotel, which is inspired by Madame Rambouillet’s French Salons of the 17th century, is flooded with natural light and grand chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The hotel also features an impressive array of dining and drinking options including Death & Co., a renowned cocktail bar that originated in New York City. With its impeccable service, chic decor, and prime location, The Ramble Hotel is a top choice for travelers seeking a luxurious and memorable stay in Denver. They couldn’t have picked a more beautiful spot in downtown Denver to gather and celebrate with friends and family.
Emily and Shelby shared a private first look on the mezzanine, a moment that they were both really looking forward to, followed by a few portraits on the outdoor garden patio in the snow! It was cold so we moved quickly but, the scenery – dusted in fresh snow – was too beautiful to pass up! After some portraits with their wedding party outside of the hotel, we hopped on a shuttle and headed to the church.
Their downtown Denver wedding ceremony took place at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, just down the road from the hotel. Emily’s dad, John, has been working for months to make sure he would be strong enough to walk Emily down the aisle. When the moment finally came, you could tell how much it meant to her to have him by her side. The church’s stained glass windows filled the room with a soft glow as the newlyweds exchanged vows. The ceremony concluded with the priest blessing the newlyweds, who exited the church to cheers and applause from their guests. It was a beautiful and memorable start to their married life together.
Everyone reconvened back at Vauxhall at The Ramble Hotel for the reception. Guests enjoyed an array of delicious hors d’oeuvres and craft cocktails. The hotel’s stylish and sophisticated atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for socializing and mingling with friends and family before the wedding reception.
As speeches began, they had the room roaring in laughter just as much as they were wiping away tears. The speech from Emily’s father was particularly memorable though. His voice cracked with emotion as he shared stories of Emily growing up, recalling cherished memories and milestones. He spoke of his pride in Emily and her accomplishments, and his admiration for Shelby and the love he saw between the couple. The speech was both heartwarming and humorous, drawing laughs and tears from the guests.
It was clear that Emily’s father had put considerable thought and care into his words, and his love for his daughter and family shone through. The speech was a poignant reminder of the importance of family and the power of love, and it left a lasting impression on all those in attendance. It was a beautiful celebration and we couldn’t be happier for these two!
