NCAR TRAIL
We joined Molly and Chris for their Boulder engagement photos at NCAR Trail for our first engagement photography session of the new year! We really lucked out with a warm January day, a balmy afternoon in the mid-40s! Even though it was only January, it felt like spring was in the air as we explored NCAR Trail with these two.
It’s always a treat for us to get to know our couples better during their engagement sessions and we really enjoyed chatting with Molly and Chris. Their sweet and gentle pup Rosie joined us during the first half of their session. Not only was she as photogenic as could be, but she was so well behaved that you couldn’t help but adore her! Rosie surely set some high standards for all dogs who follow.
Many couples choose to take their engagement photos with dogs. These photos capture the love and joy shared between the couple and their beloved pets. Including dogs in engagement photos also adds a playful and lighthearted touch to the photoshoot.
The sun disappears much earlier this time of year and we enjoyed playing with some gorgeous glow before it dipped behind the Flatirons. One of the top engagement photography tips is to schedule the photoshoot during the golden hour. This is the hour just before sunset or after sunrise when the light is soft and warm, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. Photographing at golden hour adds depth and dimension to the photos and enhances the natural beauty and it’s great time to capture those intimate and romantic portraits.
Molly & Chris even struck their best album cover poses, and they did not disappoint! We’re really looking forward to their wedding in August at Blackstone Rivers Ranch!
