Fall Dao House wedding in Estes Park, Colorado

Fall Dao House Wedding in Estes Park

We were so excited for this beautiful Dao House wedding last fall in Estes Park to celebrate Elizabeth & Ryan last September! Estes Park is one of our favorite locations in Colorado and it was beaming with gold aspens this time of year. Dao House is an incredible Colorado wedding venue, nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and its rustic lodge boasts breathtaking views of Longs Peak and exudes that charming Colorado mountain vibe.

Elizabeth and Ryan started their wedding day in an unconventional way, with a sunrise hike around Lily Lake. Over 100 of their closest friends and family joined them, creating a unique and memorable start to their special day. The crisp fall morning air and the beautiful surroundings set the tone for the day, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and excited for this Dao House wedding.

With its picturesque setting and tranquil atmosphere, Dao House is known as a sanctuary for individuals seeking to reconnect with nature and engage in mindful practices. Guests can immerse themselves in a variety of activities like yoga and meditation sessions, hiking through scenic trails, and enjoying holistic spa treatments, in an environment of breathtaking mountain vistas.

As the wedding day began to unfold, Ryan was surrounded by a group of friends at a AirBnb in Estes Park. Laughter filled the air as they gathered to watch the CU Boulder football game, creating a lively and social atmosphere. Meanwhile, Elizabeth prepared for the ceremony on the lodge’s balcony, where she had her hair and makeup done. The emotional moments shared with her close friends and bridesmaids were truly touching, with tears flowing as her mom helped her into her gown.

These two shared their first look against the backdrop of the lodge, a patch of grass and flowers provided a picturesque setting for Elizabeth and Ryan’s emotional reunion. With Longs Peak towering in the background, these two were surrounded by vibrant aspen trees.

Guests made their way up a trail, through an aspen meadow, to the ceremony site for Elizabeth & Ryan’s Dao House wedding. Framed by majestic mountains and the grandeur of Longs Peak, this natural setting was truly awe-inspiring. However, mother nature had a surprise in store, as a sudden storm swept in with intense gusts of wind and light rain.

Luckily, the challenging weather held off, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief. Their Dao House wedding ceremony began on a poignant note, with Elizabeth’s friend serenading the guests, bringing tears to their eyes. A dear friend of the couple officiated the wedding, adding a personal touch. And as Elizabeth and Ryan exchanged their heartfelt and humor-filled vows, which truly reflected their love for each other.

For this Dao House wedding, the reception took place in the main hall, with its high ceilings, timber walls, and large windows showcasing the stunning views. Elizabeth and Ryan entered to cheers from their guests, who enthusiastically waved napkins in the air. They went straight into their first dance, setting the tone for a night filled with so much joy. Friends and family gave heartfelt and funny speeches, sharing stories that showcased the couple’s personalities and commitment to each other.

A unforgettable moment happened near the end of the night during the reception when Elizabeth and Ryan were lifted into the air on chairs by cheering friends and family who surrounded them on the dance floor. The air was electric with excitement and celebration as they sang at the top of their lungs with their friends, and embraced with a kiss.

Congratulations to Elizabeth & Ryan as they start this new chapter together, we couldn’t be happier for you guys! Check out some of our favorite photos from their Dao House wedding!
